You can add videos to Google Classroom from a Chromebook or any other device. Students can submit videos to Google Classroom.

Make Video

You can obviously record video on a phone or iPad. On laptops and Chromebooks you can create screencasts or webcam videos. On my Mac, I use the Photo Booth app. On my Chromebook, I use Screencastify, which will do both screencast and webcam.

There are 2 ways to get your video into Google Classroom

Upload to GDrive.

It is  easy to put things in Google Classroom if it’s in Drive. Students or teachers simply click the Drive icon in an assignment to link to the video in Google Drive.

Google Classroom will put your video into Google Drive for you. As a teacher click on the paper clip icon when creating an assignment to add the video. The video will appear in the assignment.

Students can choose the option to “Add” when submitting an assignment. They also use the paper clip icon to add their video into Google Classroom. The video, as any other item, will be added to the student’s Classroom folder and the teacher’s Classroom folder in Google Drive. The teacher can locate the student’s video right in the assignment assessment screen or from Google Drive.
